Kelly Clarkson Refuses To Be 'Taken Advantage of' Amid Latest Brandon Blackstock Lawsuit
Fans watched Kelly Clarkson’s divorce from Brandon Blackstock drag on for months because his legal team argued every single detail of their split.
Some of the moves felt petty and mean-spirited, and it’s likely why everyone is rooting her on as she tackles an even bigger legal case from their professional relationship.
During their seven-year marriage, Blackstock served as his then-wife’s manager through his father Narvel Blackstock’s company, Starstruck Entertainment.
The big point of contention in the legal case surrounds the allegations that they acted as unlicensed talent agents in the state of California, which violates state labor laws.
The 41-year-old entertainer is seeking “any and all commissions, fees, profits, advances, producing fees or other monies,” per Rolling Stone.
While this is obviously a case for the courts, the emotional significance of winning this case would mean so much more to Clarkson.
